Different levels of e-business application testing include:

Unit testing - taking place after informal developer's tests, unit testing examines the smallest building blocks of your application. A unit may be a web page / query/ banner or else. This phase includes both “sanity” testing (quick run through the system to test its stability) as well as “normal” testing (extensive tests where the entire functionality for each unit is being tested).   Integration tests - at this level, we test business processes within the e-Business application. During integration testing, we test and run functional tests to ascertain whether or not data is flowing correctly between the various “stations” within the process, and that the business processes function as required.   System tests - after we complete your integration tests, we’ll execute system tests, which include non-functional tests like load & stress, security, compatibility, recovery and installation tests to verify that the system as a whole performs correctly.

Functional testing is a major component of e-Business application testing.
